Applies to: Active@ Disk Image for Windows. Active@ Disk Image for Windows comes with all you need to create the bootable CD for Windows. The CD for Windows is actually a self-contained version of Windows which is capable of booting a computer into Windows. This is convenient because drivers for devices like USB external drives are loaded at boot time. By installing the software and clicking on the Boot Disk Creator program, it takes care of making the bootable media for you. You would then boot from that and restore an image that was earlier saved to a USB drive, or network drive or DVD-media for that matter. Once you boot from the Boot Disk, you can actually eject the CD or remove USB drive and insert another CD, DVD or USB drive to be written to or read from.
