When I run KillDisk on the Linux platform, there are no sound notifications after Erase is complete. Why?
KillDisk operates under a root (superuser) Linux account to be able to access and erase disks.
This built-in account has no Audio service configured by default with many Linux distributions, so it cannot play sounds.
You can find instructions here on how to enable sound on Ubuntu and openSUSE. Other Linux flavors have simular instructions on their official documentation.
