I accidentally deleted partition and want to restore it. Do I need to create a Disk Image for this partition?

Please do not make an image of the drive in this case. Partition recovery uses that option only when the hard drive is failing due to mechanical / electrical problems. It can not restore the image. It requires a separately purchased software Active@ Disk Image to restore the image. Even if it could restore the image, it would restore it exactly as it was saved. The image most likely would contain a corrupted data structures.
